Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Ticker AI ("we", "the app") collects, why, and what control you have. We have written it to be read, not to be skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, email support@tickerai.org.

The short version

• Your research, journal and notes are stored on your device, and are yours.
• You can use the app without creating an account.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use your notes or charts to advertise to you.
• You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app, at any time.

Information we collect

Content you create

Chart images you capture or import, the asset you confirm, your analyses, journal entries, strategies, watchlists and notes. This content is stored locally on your device. If you choose to sign in, it may be synced to your account so you can restore it on another device.

Account information

Signing in is optional. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, depending on the provider and your choices, your email address, display name and profile picture. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email address, and we support that. Until you sign in, your identity is an anonymous identifier that is not linked to your name or email.

Usage and diagnostics

We collect app-usage events (for example: an analysis completed, a screen viewed, a subscription started) and crash diagnostics so we can fix problems and understand which features matter. These events are pseudonymous — they are tied to an app identifier, not to your name.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive your card details. We receive the subscription status and transaction identifier needed to unlock features and to avoid double-counting a purchase.

What we deliberately do not collect

• We do not log your chart images, journal notes or personal notes to our analytics.
• We do not collect your portfolio values, positions or account balances at any broker.
• We do not connect to your brokerage and cannot place trades.
• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

How your chart analysis works

When you request an analysis, the chart image and the asset details you confirmed are sent to our backend, which forwards them to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce the written analysis. This is used to generate your result. We do not use your images to build advertising profiles. Market data (quotes, fundamentals, news) is retrieved from market-data providers using only the asset symbol — never your identity.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data with providers that operate the service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, crash reporting, analytics, configuration.
• OpenAI — generating the analysis text from your chart and confirmed asset.
• Cloudflare — our backend and caching layer.
• RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and payment processing.
• Meta — app install and event measurement, only if you allow tracking.

Tracking and advertising

On first launch we ask, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether you allow tracking. If you decline, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app works exactly the same. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings.

Data retention and deletion

Local content stays on your device until you delete it or delete the app. If you have an account, you can delete it from inside the app — Settings → Profile → Account → "Delete my account". This permanently deletes your account and erases your analyses, journal entries, strategies, watchlists and achievements from the device. Deletion cannot be undone. You may also email support@tickerai.org to request deletion.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EEA/UK and the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise the core of these rights directly in the app — you can export your data and delete your account — or contact us and we will respond. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.

Children

Ticker AI is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Secrets are never embedded in the app, and requests to AI providers are routed through our backend so that no provider key is exposed on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold your research to the standard we would want for our own.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify you in the app.
